Course Information
My community is made up of 7 students. 3 fourth graders, 3 second graders and one kindergartener. Each student has an Individualized Education Plan. The (IEP) is a written document that outlines a child's education. As the name implies, the educational program should be tailored to the individual student to provide maximum educational benefit. The key word is individual. A program that is appropriate for one child with a specific disability may not be appropriate for another. My children are taught using functional curriculum. This is the teaching of things like colors, numbers, letters and daily living skills.
